Consistency
I’m sure we have all heard this at some point, that no greater battle does man have than with the ideal self and true self. See many a time we face emotional and physical challenges because the way we live is inconsistent with who we truly are. I once heard an interesting definition of stress, which reflects wanting to be in a different place than where you are right now. I believe that although inevitable the battles we face, that readily drain us are because they are inconsistent with what and who we are designed to be. The pressure that we face from our daily battles if dealt with correctly build us and never tears us down. Pressure meant for you presses down and creates anew but pressure inconsistent with you, crushes, removing any trace of the beginning and that’s not good. We need to get to a point where we live our lives removed from comparison from others not saying we shouldn’t learn from the advice and experience of others but that their story can never become our own. You are you for a reason. The you before whatever you face today, remember that person? That person that smiled before you became inconsistent because a different route seemed better than what you had to offer. Maybe the solution to some of the emotional baggage we carry lies within our acceptance of who and what we were called to be, and act on this confidence. Let that you be your response to the world and do not let the world dictate your response.
